A delegation of Iraqi Insurance Authority leaders visited the hospital to learn about its experience in the field of accreditation from the General Authority for Accreditation and Healthcare Supervision (GAHAR), which aims to provide distinguished healthcare by improving the quality of healthcare and learning how to apply this successful experience and transfer it to Iraq. Their visit to EGYPTAIR Hospital comes as it is one of the first hospitals that sought to develop and successfully obtained the accreditation of the Accreditation and Healthcare Supervision Authority (GAHAR), becoming the first hospital affiliated with the business sector in Egypt to obtain this accreditation, followed by accreditation for excellence in medical tourism (GAHAR/Timos), becoming the first hospital in Egypt to obtain it. The Iraqi delegation learned about the hospitals experience in the journey to obtain GAHAR accreditation, through the application of quality systems and following standards that ensure the safety of patients and medical staff during the process of providing healthcare. It is worth noting that the hospital is periodically evaluated by the Health Accreditation and Supervision Authority to verify its commitment to implementing the standards set by the Authority (accredited by the International Organization for Standardization and Metrology (ESCWA)), which are consistent with international standards that contribute to reducing the risks that the patient and health service providers may be exposed to. Dr. Ayman Salah, Chairman of the Board of Directors, confirmed that the hospital will provide all forms of support and cooperation to our brothers in the State of Iraq regarding the experience of international accreditation in the field of health care.
