During the third medical conference of EGYPTAIR Hospital, the Pharmacy Department participated in a number of scientific lectures that addressed advanced therapeutic topics. The most prominent of these lectures were: 1. A lecture delivered by Dr. Amr Medhat entitled "Intravenous Solution Mixing Unit." The lecture introduced the Intravenous Solution Mixing Unit, a specialized unit operating according to international standards. The unit aims to prepare medication doses and intravenous solutions for each patient under safe and sterile conditions, using robust systems to ensure absolute dosage accuracy and avoid errors or contamination. 2. A lecture delivered by Dr. Nermin Effat entitled "Pharmaceutical Economics in Modern Hospital Systems." The lecture focused on the importance of drug selection based on calculating the cost-to-quality ratio and comparing the drugs effect on patient health. 3. A lecture delivered by Dr. Mai Mamdouh entitled "Advanced Strategies for Stimulating and Harvesting Hematopoietic Stem Cells." The lecture highlighted the latest methods and techniques used in this advanced field. 4. A lecture delivered by Dr. Marina Magdy entitled "The Operating Room Pharmacist": The lecture reviewed the vital role of the clinical pharmacist in the operating room before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring optimal medication use and achieving the best therapeutic outcomes. 5. A lecture delivered by Dr. Mohamed El Morsy entitled "The Anticoagulant Clinic": The lecture reviewed the pivotal role of the clinical pharmacist in the anticoagulant clinic through close monitoring of patients conditions, adjusting dosages appropriately for each case, and preventing potential side effects. It emphasized the importance of optimal use of these medications to ensure therapeutic efficacy and patient safety. 6. A lecture delivered by Dr. Lama Najm and Dr. Sara Amjad entitled "Cancer Risk Prevention": The lecture reviewed methods of cancer prevention, methods of dealing with patients at risk, and the importance of regular follow-up to ensure their safety and health.
