Under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Salah, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director, and as part of EgyptAir Hospitals commitment to raising health awareness and promoting a culture of early disease detection, an awareness session on breast cancer was organized as part of Pink October activities. The session was organized by the Radiology Department at EgyptAir Hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Aya Shawky, Head of the Radiology Department. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Nermin Nasry Halim, Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and a member of the National Campaign for Early Detection of Breast Cancer. The lecture witnessed fruitful interaction and significant benefit from the attendees. It addressed the importance of early detection of breast cancer and its role in increasing the chances of treatment and recovery, the appropriate timing for regular checkups, and the most important warning signs. The lecture also explained the importance of mammograms and answered related questions. The session contributed to raising health awareness among the attendees, correcting many misconceptions about breast cancer, and emphasizing the importance of regular checkups and not waiting for symptoms to appear. Together towards greater awareness… early detection… and better chances of recovery. Because awareness is a step, and early detection is a hope for a safer and more secure life.
